Ireland yearly consumer price inflation rate hots up to 2.2% in April

Ireland’s harmonised consumer price index inflation came in as expected in April, data published by the Central Statistics Office showed Thursday.

The country’s annual harmonised consumer price inflation rate was 2.0% in April, picking up from 1.8% in March. This confirmed flash figures released by the CSO at the end of April.

Harmonised monthly consumer price growth was confirmed at 0.4% in April, decelerating from 0.7% in March from February.

Annual consumer price inflation picked up to 2.2% in April from 2.0% in March, while monthly price growth slowed to 0.4% in April from 0.7% in March.
