RWS hires Christina Scott as chief product & technology officer

RWS Holdings PLC on Monday announced the appointment of Christina Scott to its executive team, in the newly created role of chief product & technology officer.

The Buckinghamshire, England-based language services provider said Scott will ‘lead [its] global product and technology strategy, shaping the innovation agenda and delivering scalable, market-leading solutions’.

Scott’s previous roles include being CPTO at OVO Energy, chief technology officer at News UK and deputy CTO at News Corp, and chief product & information officer at the Financial Times.

‘Christina is an experienced senior executive with a proven record of delivering revenue growth and cost optimisation across complex technology, digital products and data solutions,’ RWS said. ‘She brings more than 25 years’ experience working with blue chip companies, private equity and start-ups undergoing large digital transformations and change programmes in the media, education, healthcare and energy sectors.’

Scott commented: ‘I am thrilled to join RWS...This is an exciting opportunity to transform the company’s product strategy and drive innovation, growth and efficiency across our market-leading portfolio of technologies and solutions.

‘I look forward to collaborating with the talented team at RWS to build a robust technology portfolio and create a clear product roadmap that meets the evolving needs of our customers.’

RWS Holdings shares were up 0.7% at 83.10 pence each on Monday morning in London.
