tinyBuild revenue trading ahead despite ‘challenging backdrop’

ALN

tinyBuild Inc on Tuesday said its investments are starting to bear fruit, as it reported better than expected sales in the first five months of the year.

The Seattle, Washington-based video game developer and publisher said, despite a ‘challenging backdrop’ with ‘few signs of modest improvement’, its sales are ahead of expectations for the first five months of 2025.

This excludes the contributions from Red Cerberus, which it noted was sold in April, with tinyBuild adding that it is ‘carefully managing its catalogue’.

Its shares rose 0.1% to 5.63 pence on Tuesday afternoon in London.

tinyBuild said its release schedule remains heavily skewed towards the second half of the year, and said its pipeline is strong, owing to Steam wishlists, which it noted reflects ‘one of the most important indicators for future sales’.

Looking ahead, tinyBuild is confident in delivering results in line with expectations, supported by its pipeline, but noted that the changing macroeconomic situation along with the war in Ukraine necessitate caution and vigilance in the medium to long term.

Chief Executive Alex Nichiporchik said: ‘Our investments to create new great IP are starting to bear fruits. Last week, we held our second tinyBuild Connect to showcase the most promising pipeline we ever had, including the likes of SAND, Kingmakers, DUCKSIDE, Streets of Rogue 2, The King is Watching, Trainfort, All will Fall, Of Ash and Steel, SpeedRunners 2 and more. I am excited about 2025 and beyond and I want to thank all the people that make this possible.’
