Alphawave IP Group PLC - Leeds, England-based designer of high-speed connectivity solutions - Agrees to a further extension of the deadline for Qualcomm Inc to either announce its firm intention to make an offer, or to decline to make one. The so-called ’put-up-or-shut-up’ deadline has now been extended four times since the San Diego, California-based communications technology company on April 1 announced that it was considering making a takeover offer for Alphawave and was most recently extended to Thursday evening. Qualcomm now has until Monday evening next week. Both companies remain in discussions regarding the possible offer, Alphawave says, but notes there is no certainty that an offer will be made.
