Filtronic flying high on largest order to-date from SpaceX

ALN

Filtronic PLC on Tuesday hailed its ‘largest contract award to date’ from partner SpaceX Corp.

The Yeadon, England-based maker of advanced micro electronics valued the deal at $32.5 million, or £24.0 million. It is a follow-on order of E-band Cerus 32 Solid State Power Amplifiers, with material fulfilment expected in financial 2026.

As a result of the deal, Filtronic expects to exceed current revenue expectations for the year ahead.

Back in April 2024, Filtronic signed a framework agreement with SpaceX, the low-orbit space exploration company headquartered in Starbase, Texas and founded by Tesla Inc owner Elon Musk. The firms extended the partnership in March 2025.

As of Tuesday, SpaceX’s vested interest represents 9.96% of Filtronic share capital. The British firm said that 5% of this was vested, while 4.96% remain unvested, subject to criteria related to new technology.

Filtronic’s shares rose 6.7% to 138.70 pence each on Tuesday morning in London.

‘We are delighted to have secured our largest order to date with SpaceX, reinforcing Filtronic’s growing reputation for delivering high-performance RF solutions to the high-growth space market,’ commented Filtronic’s Chief Executive Nat Edington.

‘This milestone builds on the momentum of recent contract awards and highlights the progress we are making as we expand in key strategic markets.’
