Ireland’s annual fall in producer prices slowed in May, data published by the Central Statistics Office showed Monday. The country’s producer price deflation decelerated to 1.8% in May from 3.6% in April. The annual increase in wholesale electricity prices slowed to 0.8% in May from nearly 26% in April. Monthly, producer prices rose 0.8% in May, after a decline of 1.4% in April. Notably, the monthly fall in wholesale electricity prices slowed to 2.3% in May from nearly 16% in April.
