Intertek launches ‘world’s first’ end-to-end AI assurance programme

ALN

Intertek Group PLC on Tuesday said it has launched Intertek AI2, which it described as ‘the world’s first’ independent end-to-end artificial intelligence assurance programme.

The London-based assurance, inspection, product testing and certification company said the tool will allow organisations to ‘power ahead with smarter, safer, trusted AI solutions’.

The launch expands Intertek’s assurance, testing, inspection and certification solutions, Intertek said, by providing a risk-based AI assurance programme.

The Intertek AI2 services include ‘governed’ AI to establish risk and quality management frameworks and regulation compliance strategies.

It also includes ‘transparent’ AI to develop technical documentation meeting regulatory standards and implement different levels of explanation for different applications.

The system includes ‘secure’ AI to provide cybersecurity tailored to AI systems, threat monitoring and incident response planning.

Intertek also noted the ‘safe’ AI systems which provide testing and validation using AI-specific methodologies, data quality assessment and improvement, and independent performance verification.

‘AI is reshaping our world at an unprecedented pace as organisations race to integrate AI into their systems and products to take their customer service to new heights and unleash new levels of productivity,’ said Chief Executive Officer Andre Lacroix.

Shares in Intertek were up 1.4% at 4,786.00 pence in London on Tuesday morning.
