Equipmake names Metcalfe non-executive chair as Scrivener steps down

ALN

Equipmake Holdings PLC on Wednesday announced the appointment of Tim Metcalfe as non-executive chair, following the resignation of Clive Scrivener, who is stepping down to focus on other business interests.

Metcalfe takes up the role with immediate effect, Equipmake said.

The Norfolk, England-based maker of electric motors, inverters and zero-emission electric drivetrains and power electronic systems praised Metcalfe’s three-decade career in corporate finance and company advisory, with a particular focus on the automotive and engineering sectors.

His past roles include senior positions at Robert Fleming, Rothschild and Zeus Capital, as well as co-founding investor relations consultancy IFC Advisory in 2015.

He currently serves as senior independent director at Investment Company PLC, non-executive director at Spiritus Mundi PLC, and chair of specialist carmaker Nichols Cars Ltd.

‘I am confident that his skills and experience will prove a very valuable addition to the company as Equipmake continues to expand its presence in the global electrification market,’ said Chief Executive Officer Ian Foley. ‘He has a strong track record of assisting quoted companies and creating value for shareholders.’

Foley also thanked outgoing chair Clive Scrivener for his leadership over the past three years, calling him an important part of Equipmake’s journey since we became a public company in 2022.‘

Shares in Equipmake were last quoted at 1.50 pence on the Aquis Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
