Versarien PLC on Friday said it has extended its commercial agreements with Montana Quimica LTDA, a South American manufacturing partner, to expand the use of its graphene-based thermoplastic compounds in the region. Shares in the Gloucestershire-based advanced materials group rose 16% to 0.015 pence on Friday afternoon in London. Versarien said the updated deal includes an extension to its existing manufacturing licence and a know-how and technical assistance agreement with Montana, initially signed in March 2024. The agreements relate to the production and sale of Polygrene, Versarien’s proprietary graphene-enhanced thermoplastic masterbatches and compounds. Under the revised terms, Montana will pay Versarien £25,000 for access to additional know-how, training, and technical support. Once Montana begins manufacturing products using Versarien‘s intellectual property, a further £25,000 payment will be due, alongside royalties equal to 5% of total sales revenue. These royalties are subject to a minimum annual payment of £10,000. The latest payments are in addition to fees already agreed under previous deals announced in March 2024 and March 2025. ‘We are very pleased to be extending our partnership with Montana, a leading business in its markets in South America that we have developed a close relationship with,’ said Versarien Chief Executive Stephen Hodge. ‘We look forward to supporting Montana and its clients as they bring added-value products to the market utilising Polygrene thermoplastics.’ Copyright 2025 Alliance News Ltd.
