WH Smith PLC is in a legal battle over unsold vapes with supplier NPB Brands, the Telegraph reported Friday. The Swindon, England-based retail chain’s TG Jones is facing a battle in court over its contract with NPB Brands, after it sent back boxes of unsold disposable vapes after a UK-wide ban, which came into force in June. Business face a penalty of £200 if caught selling single-use vapes. TG Jones since Monday is the new name of WH Smith’s high street stores. This is after WH Smith sold off its estate to focus on airport and rail shops, which are still called WH Smith. A court hearing over the dispute between WH Smith and NPB Brands is expected next week. WH Smith shares closed 0.5% lower at 1,104.00 pence each on Friday in London. Copyright 2025 Alliance News Ltd. All Rights Reserved.
