On Monday, Convatec said Bitar will take a medical leave of absence without providing any further details. Chief Financial Officer Jonny Mason will be interim CEO during Bitar’s absence. In a statement on Friday, Bitar says: ‘I have yesterday sold a minority of my shareholding in Convatec. This follows the announcement about my medical leave of absence and is for personal reasons unconnected with Convatec.
