IN BRIEF: Aurrigo shares speed up on Auto-Shuttle trial launch

ALN

Aurrigo International PLC - Coventry, England-based transport technology provider - Announces collaboration with the Kanata North Business Association and Area XO, a Canadian research & development complex, to deploy an all-season medium-speed autonomous shuttle vehicle trial in Canada’s Kanata North Technology Park. Contract has a total value of C$1 million, and will see the Auto-Shuttle being delivered in the second half. It will then start operating on public roads, ‘in mixed traffic at medium speeds’, after ‘a period of rigorous testing’. ‘This real-world Canadian testing environment provides valuable insights that will support the advancement of Aurrigo’s autonomous airport shuttle solutions, which require reliable performance across diverse weather and operational conditions,’ Aurrigo says.

Chief Executive Officer David Keene says: ‘Not only will this see our Auto-Shuttle operate in all-weather conditions but also provides an opportunity to demonstrate its capabilities in a live traffic environment. As we continue to build on our go-to-market efforts to bring our cutting edge, autonomous technologies to airports around the world, this project demonstrates the robust capabilities of our products, provides valuable insights into live operations and strengthens our presence in the North American market.’
