Georgia Capital PLC - Tbilisi-based investor in domestic business in Georgia - Starts a $50 million share buyback programme on Tuesday. The buyback will be run by Numis Securities Ltd and completed within nine months. Georgia Capital says the price paid for the shares will not exceed its latest reported net asset value per share, which was £33.61 as of June 30. The repurchased shares will be cancelled to reduce the company’s share capital. The buyback is part of the ₾700 million, about £192 million, shareholder return that Georgia Capital announced with its half-year results earlier in August. It swung to a pretax profit of ₾991.7 million, around £279.1 million, in the first half of 2025, compared to a loss of ₾192.3 million a year before.
