Alien Metals shares climb on ‘outstanding’ silver assay results

ALN

Alien Metals Ltd on Friday reported high-grade shallow silver intercepts at Elizabeth Hill in Western Australia, with results ‘further demonstrating’ the project’s potential.

Shares in the Australia-focused minerals explorer and developer rose 35% to 0.18 pence on Friday morning in London.

Alien Metals said its joint venture partner, West Coast Silver Ltd, has reported further ‘outstanding’ assay results from the maiden diamond drilling programme at the Elizabeth Hill project.

West Coast Silver operates the project, with Alien Metals having a 30% free-carried interest through to a decision to mine.

Results from drill hole 25WCDD011 included a 13-metre intercept at 1,615 grams of silver per tonne from 62 metres. Within this, the operator reported a 2-metre section of 10,049 grams from 63 metres.

It also noted a 17-metre intercept at 858 grams per tonne from five metres, including a 2-metre section at 6,349 grams from seven metres.

Alien Metals also reported a ‘significant’ high-grade gold intercept of one metre at 11.1 grams of gold per tonne from 51 metres at drill hole 25WCDD011.

The company added that results for a further six holes from the inaugural 12-hole diamond programme ‘remain outstanding’.

Technical Director Robert Mosig said: ‘These results further demonstrate the outstanding grades and near-surface potential at Elizabeth Hill. Intercepts of up to 10,049 grams per tonne silver and 11.1 grams per tonne gold are exceptional outcomes from the maiden programme and confirm the significant value in the project.

‘With Alien’s 30%, which is interest-free, carried through to decision to mine, our shareholders retain strong exposure to any success at Elizabeth Hill. We look forward to further assay results expected in the coming weeks.’
