Workspace Group PLC on Tuesday said it signed a new lease agreement with Wild Cosmetics, following the latter’s acquisition in April by London-based consumer goods firm Unilever PLC. Workspace, a London-based real estate investment trust that provides flexible office space from around 60 locations in London and the south east of England, said Wild Cosmetics is almost doubling its footprint with Workspace to 14,000 square feet of space. The five-year deal comes with net rent of £42 per square foot. Wild Cosmetics has been a Workspace customer since 2019. With the deal, Workspace will move out of its head office at Kennington Park to enable Wild Cosmetics’s expansion. Workspace’s move to the Centro Buildings in Camden is expected to take place in October. Workspace Chief Executive Officer Lawrence Hutchings said: ‘We’re proud to have played a part in Wild’s journey - so much so that we’re moving out of our head office at Kennington Park to make way for their expansion. This enables us to relocate our headquarters to the Centro Buildings in Camden where our presence will have both a positive impact on occupancy and support the leasing of Atelier House, part of the Centro Building site. Atelier House is being refurbished into our small studio format opening early next year to serve the creators, innovators, disruptors and creators in this vibrant small & medium enterprises market.’ Wild Cosmetics Co-Founder Freddy Ward said: ‘We’re really happy to be able to keep our growing team at Kennington Park, which has been Wild’s home since 2022. We have always loved the flexibility that Workspace has offered us as we’ve expanded over the years, and what could be more flexible than moving out of their HQ to allow us to expand.’ Workspace shares were down 1.2% at 407.50 pence each on Tuesday morning in London.
