SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: capAI gets licence; Cykel issues warrants

ALN

The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Friday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Alkemy Capital Investments PLC, up 12% at 214.40 pence, 12-month range 329.00p-33.50p. The critical minerals-focused investor appoints new senior leadership as it advances its front-end-engineering design study and prepares for the final investment decision. It appoints Gemma Cooper as chief commercial officer and contracts Gardiner & Theobald to provide project management services. Cooper previously held senior roles at Johnson Matthey PLC. Alkemy says a chief operating officer also has been appointed, with details to be announced when the employee starts work. ‘Momentum continues to build at Tees Valley Lithium. By enhancing our delivery team with G&T and adding senior commercial and operational leadership, we are creating the foundations for successful project execution,’ says Chief Executive Officer Vikki Jeckell.

----------

capAI PLC, up 6.2% at 0.41p, 12-month range 0.94p-0.02p. The company focused on artificial intelligence systems for media and medicine says it has executed a licence and option agreement with R43 Group for Creator42, an AI creative hub designed to transform written works into cinematic content across social media and film. The agreement aligns with the non-binding heads of terms agreed earlier in August. capAI has the exclusive, worldwide right to use, develop, commercialise and sub-license Creator42, for a period of 12 months, with full operational and strategic control. ‘This is about creating near-term revenues today, while retaining the option to own the full book-to-film pathway through Movie42 tomorrow,’ says Executive Chair Richard Edwards.

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

Cykel AI PLC, down 22% at 1.24p, 12-month range 8.25p-1.00p. The recruitment platform raises £2.8 million via a subscription for pre-paid warrants by a group of strategic investors including DeFi Development Corp. The company agrees to issue pre-paid warrants over 2.33 billion shares with a term of five years and an exercise price of 0.12p per share.
