hVIVO PLC on Monday said it has appointed Shaun Chilton to the board of directors as non-executive chair with immediate effect. hVIVO is a London-based contract research organisation testing vaccines for infectious and respiratory diseases. Chilton was previously chief executive officer of Clinigen Group PLC, a global pharmaceutical services firm. He is currently non-executive chair of Wetherby, West Yorkshire-based life sciences company Avacta Group PLC and Kintiga Ltd, and is an independent supervisory board member at Product Life Group. ‘Shaun brings a wealth of sector-relevant experience and we believe his expertise will support us as we continue to grow and diversify the group. As a board we look forward to working closely with Shaun to help deliver on the company’s mission and execute on our strategy,’ said Interim Chair Elaine Sullivan. Incoming Chair Chilton commented: ‘I am pleased to join the board of hVIVO, a company which I believe has excellent prospects as it continues to diversify its service offering while leading the global charge in delivering exceptional human challenge trial services to its clients.’ Shares in hVIVO were down 0.2% at 61.37 pence in London on Monday afternoon.
