Oscillate enters copper JV, plans hydrogen disposal to Pulsar Helium

ALN

Oscillate PLC on Thursday reporter a new joint venture to develop the Duekoue copper prospect in Ivory Coast.

The London-based firm is building its mining asset portfolio, as it aims to produce copper and base metals.

Oscillate’s has signed an earn-in agreement with La Miniere de L’Elephant SARL, an Abidjan, Ivory Coast-based mining company. The partners will target copper, gold and molybdenum in western Ivory Coast.

Back in April, Oscillate paid La Miniere $100,000. Since then, Oscillate has started funding early exploration work at the Duekoue prospect. As part of the new agreement announced Thursday, Oscillate has committed to loan La Miniere $650,000 over two years to advance the project.

Additionally, Oscillate has the right to buy the Duekoue PR 911 mining permit from La Miniere for $1.0 million. La Miniere will earn 25 US cents per pound of contained copper equivalent found in the area before commercialisation, plus a 0.5% net smelter royalty on copper sales. Oscillate will be able to buy back the NSR for at least $5.0 million.

‘The interpretation of the data we have available leads us to believe that this is an incredibly exciting opportunity for Oscillate as we continue to advance our copper and base metals strategy,’ commented Oscillate Chief Executive Robin Birchall.

News of the new partnership follows Oscillate’s announcement on Tuesday that it is disposing its hydrogen assets to fellow London-listed firm Pulsar Helium Inc.

Pulsar has signed an agreement to acquire 80% of Quantum Hydrogen Inc, which holds rights for hydrogen and non-hydrocarbon assets in Minnesota. In return, Oscillate will receive Pulsar shares worth an aggregate $400,000.

In addition, Cascais, Portugal-based helium explorer Pulsar will pay $5,000 for a 120-day exclusivity period as it considers whether or not to proceed with the purchase.

Pulsar will be able to acquire the remaining 20% interest in Quantum, which would entitle Oscillate to a further $400,000 payment.

Back in September 2024, Oscillate bought Quantum for $1.4 million. Pulsar shareholders Neil Herbert and Frontier Resources International Inc own 13.3% and 8.5% of Oscillate respectively, though Oscillate said it still considers the

deal with Pulsar ‘fair and reasonable’.

Oscillate shares traded down 17% at 25.0 pence on Thursday afternoon on the Aquis Exchange. Pulsar shares were 1.0% lower at 22.78 pence each in London.
