Audioboom Group PLC on Friday confirmed it was undertaking a strategic review, which included considering the possible sale of the firm. Shares in the London-based podcast producer closed up 19% at 639.66 pence in London on Friday. In a statement, Audioboom said it has appointed J Goodwin & Co LLP to manage a strategic review process which involves the consideration of, amongst other strategic options, the potential sale of the company. The company confirmed that it has not received any proposal for the sale of the company but is in discussions with strategic partners and trade peers regarding potential commercial or strategic partnerships. New York City-based Fox Corp and San Antonio, Texas-based iHeartMedia could be potential bidders for the London-based podcast producer of Formula One motor racing’s official podcast, according to media analysts. The company was responding to a report earlier Friday by Sky News which said Audioboom was working with advisers to explore terms of a potential takeover of the company.
