All Things Considered buys US merchandise firm Control Industry

ALN

All Things Considered Group PLC on Monday said it has bought certain assets of Control Industry Inc, a California, US-based merchandise management business.

The London-based music talent management, live booking and merchandising firm said the assets were acquired by its subsidiary, Sandbag Ltd.

ATC said Sandbag, its merchandise and e-commerce business, will service existing clients of Control Industry moving forward.

The acquisition includes the purchase of core business assets, including business names, intellectual property rights and rights under client contracts.

Control Industry founder and Chief Executive Officer Ricky Riker will join ATC as president of Sandbag USA.

The acquisition includes established client relationships with artists including the Black Eyed Peas, Billy Joel, Diana Ross, and Simon & Garfunkel, as well as a network of retail partners.

The total consideration is up to $760,000 in cash, with an initial consideration of $520,000 and the balance payable over nine months based on revenue targets.

‘The acquisition of Control Industry’s assets and the appointment of Ricky Riker as president of Sandbag USA mark an exciting step forward in ATC’s operations in the US,’ said ATC CEO Adam Driscoll.

‘Supported by his team, Ricky brings strong client relationships, proven sales expertise, and a deep understanding of the US market. We are confident that this acquisition will accelerate our growth and further strengthen our ability to support artists with a full suite of services.’

Shares in ATC were flat at 140.00 pence on Monday afternoon on London’s Aquis Exchange.
