Rank Group PLC said on Wednesday that its businesses are growing ‘in line with expectations’ as it reported revenue increases across all areas at the start of its financial year. The Maidenhead, England-based casino operator said in a trading update its like-for-like net gaming revenue grew 9% to £210.2 million with growth in its Digital business and Grosvenor, Mecca and Enracha venues for the first quarter ended September 30. Rank said it saw the highest growth in Digital, with a 13% increase brining revenue to £61.6 million. At a product level, electronic table gaming revenues grew 11%, which Rank said showed the return on investment from recent upgrades to terminals. 471 machines have been installed across 18 casinos, in line with the company’s expectations. Chief Executive John O’Reilly said: ‘We have started the year strongly and are confident of delivering group like-for-like operating profit in line with expectations, notwithstanding the significant cost increases we have incurred in employer national insurance contributions, the national living wage and the new statutory levy. ‘We are pleased to be rolling out additional gaming machines in our Grosvenor venues; we are on track with our installation programme and now expect a total of 850 incremental machines to be added to our estate before the end of H1 2025/26.’ Rank will announce its interim results for the six months ending December 31 on January 29 next year. Shares in the FTSE 250-listed Rank Group rose 0.3% to 130.00 pence on Wednesday morning in London. Copyright 2025 Alliance News Ltd. All Rights Reserved.
