GenIP PLC said on Wednesday it has partnered with Pelotas Science Park in Brazil, marking the company’s first engagement with a technology park. The London-based generative AI services provider said it will deliver its services to many of the park’s tenant companies and incubated startups. GenIP said this is to guide their decision-making process ‘on which technologies are most viable for investment and commercialisation’. Shares in GenIP rose 8.9% in London on Wednesday, closing at 23.96 pence. Pelotas Science Park in Brazil is an innovation hub integrating government, academia, industry, and civil society. It brings together incubators, co-working space and a regional startup network. GenIP said the collaboration aligns with the company’s strategic goal to increase the proportion of corporate clients to 45% of total clients. Chief Executive Officer of GenIP Melissa Cruz said: ‘Our collaboration with Pelotas Science Park represents an important milestone for GenIP as we expand our reach beyond universities to support entire innovation ecosystems. ‘Science parks play a vital role in Technology Transfer by connecting researchers, startups, and industry partners, and we’re proud to provide the analytical foundation that helps their tenant companies identify commercially viable technologies and attract investment.
