IN BRIEF: Weir offering to partly replace acquisition bridging loan

Weir Group PLC - Glasgow-based engineering company - Prices A$400 million, about $259.8 million, of senior notes due 2031. Notes the offering is by subsidiary Weir Group (Australian Holdings) Pty Ltd. Says net proceeds are earmarked for partly funding the £624 million acquisition of Mining Software Holdings Pty Ltd, which it said completed in April this year.

‘We are delighted with the positive response to the Group’s Australian dollar syndicated bond offering. The proceeds will partly replace the existing bridging loan established for purposes of the Micromine acquisition,’ says Chief Financial Officer Brian Puffer.

Current stock price: 2,822.00 pence, down 0.1% on Thursday afternoon in London
