Shares in the Ukraine-focused iron ore pellet producer rise as investors respond to renewed diplomatic efforts over the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky meets US President Donald Trump in Washington on Friday, seeking US-made Tomahawk missiles even as Trump prepares for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Budapest. The prospect of a new peace initiative lifts sentiment toward Ukrainian-linked assets, including Ferrexpo, which operates iron ore mines and processing facilities in central Ukraine.

JPMorgan China Growth & Income PLC, down 3.6% at 278.25p, 12-month range 207.5p-239.7. The investment trust declines as its exposure to Chinese technology giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd, one of its largest holdings, weighs on sentiment. Alibaba falls 4.2% in Hong Kong on Friday amid renewed trade tensions between China and the US. Beijing calls for ‘equal dialogue’ after Washington announces 100% tariffs on Chinese goods to take effect from November 1.

Sabre Insurance Group PLC, down 2.7% at 127.42p, 12-month range 118.60p160.20p. Shares in the motor insurer slip after Jefferies cuts its price target to 110 pence from 116 pence and reiterates an ’underperform’ rating. On Thursday, the company says gross written premiums total £151.7 million in the nine months to September 30, down 19% from £186.5 million a year earlier.
