Galliford Try gains place on £3 billion affordable homes framework

ALN

Galliford Try Holdings PLC said on Monday its Building business has been appointed to a new £3 billion affordable homes framework by registered provider Hyde Group.

The Uxbridge, London-based construction firm said it has been confirmed on all seven lots of the main contractor framework that Hyde Group operates in. These lots are located across the East and South of England and London regions.

Galliford Try said the framework runs for five years and is targeting building 1,500 homes per year during that period.

Chief Executive Bill Hocking said: ‘Delivering low to mid-rise apartment blocks for the affordable homes market is a key part of our sustainable growth strategy to 2030, and we are delighted to have achieved a place on this major framework with a housing association that has a significant track record in development.

‘We look forward to working with Hyde to bring forward the much-needed high-quality homes that their customers deserve.’

Shares in Galliford Try were up 2.7% to 528.00 pence on Monday morning in London. The wider FTSE 250 index was up 0.4%.
