ITM Power PLC - Sheffield, England-based green hydrogen electrolyser designer and manufacturer - Unveils new flagship ’ALPHA 50’ 50 megawatt full-scope green hydrogen plant. ALPHA 50 is pre-fabricated, standardised and fully skid-mounted, and powered by ITM’s stack technology. It is designed to maximise plant uptime by consolidating central process units and offering in-built redundancy for key components. ITM says it can be deployed globally and ‘easily configured into larger plants’, and ‘reliably provides high-purity hydrogen at 30 bar pressure’. Also, it ‘is designed for outdoor installation and can cope with the widest ambient temperature range, minimising construction and civil works’. Says it is ‘designed to set a new global benchmark in scalable, cost-effective hydrogen production’ and ‘offers unmatched value’. The full-scope plant is ‘substantially more competitive than any comparable solution’ at €50 million. ‘Our containerised 5MW plant NEPTUNE V redefined how mid-size projects are executed today,’ comments Chief Executive Dennis Schulz. ‘It’s now time to disrupt how large-scale projects are deployed. ALPHA 50 makes available our high-performing and proven technology in the most competitive full-scope solution for large-scale projects. ALPHA 50 will transform the industry and set a new standard for execution at scale.’ Current stock price: 80.14 pence, up 2.7% on Tuesday in London 12-month change: up 94% Copyright 2025 Alliance News Ltd.
