Henry Boot sells Leicestershire asset to house builder HarperCrewe

ALN

Henry Boot PLC on Thursday said it has completed the sale of a Queniborough, Leicestershire-based site to Warwick, England-based house builder HarperCrewe Ltd.

The deal was completed through Henry Boot’s land promotion and planning business, Hallam Land, and resulted in an ungeared internal rate of return of 33% per annum, said the company.

Henry Boot noted that this will contribute towards its full-year performance.

The company said the site holds planning permission for 160 residential units in the area. It added that further to 160 homes, the consent will also deliver 12 acres of green infrastructure.

Shares in Henry Boot were 2.0% lower at 224.52 on Thursday afternoon in London.

‘Hallam Land continues to benefit from the improved planning environment and sustained strong demand from UK housebuilders for land in prime locations. The sale to HarperCrewe represents another successful milestone for Hallam Land, keeping the business firmly on track to meet its annual sales target and deliver a strong contribution to the group’s 2025 financial performance,’ said Chief Executive Tim Roberts.
