Henderson Smaller Cos names Cassie Herlihy as deputy fund manager

ALN

Henderson Smaller Cos Investment Trust PLC on Tuesday said it has appointed Cassie Herlihy as deputy fund manager from asset manager Gresham House PLC.

The London-based investor in smaller UK-quoted companies said Herlihy will join on November 30, and will work closely alongside lead Fund Manager Indriatti van Hien, who has managed the portfolio since 2016.

Herlihy joins Janus Henderson’s UK small cap equities team from Gresham House, where she co-managed a UK smaller companies fund. She previously held investment banking roles at Citigroup Inc and Investec PLC.

‘Cassie has significant experience, a strong track record and an investment approach which is well aligned with that of Indriatti and the wider team,’ said Chair Penny Freer.

‘Her proven expertise will be a great asset to both the company and its shareholders as we continue to seek opportunities in the UK small cap space.’

Indriatti van Hien said: ‘Cassie’s appointment reflects our ongoing dedication to bottom-up stock-picking, which remains at the heart of our investment philosophy.’

Shares in Henderson Smaller Cos Investment Trust were up 0.6% at 839.00 on Tuesday morning in London.
