IN BRIEF: Ironveld notes ‘significant’ progress at Limpopo plant

ALN

Ironveld PLC - London-based mining company targeting South Africa - Provides update on the Daemaneng Minerals (Pty) Ltd-owned, dense media separation-grade magnetite processing facility in Limpopo, South Africa. Says ‘significant strides’ are being made at the plant including the completion of commissioning and readiness activities as it prepares for ramp-up. The new generator and diesel fuel is delivered on Monday. Next steps include: connecting the new generator to the plant; a shift in focus to critical process optimisation; and the replacement of essential pipework and adjustments to the crushers, mill trommel and magnetic separation units, after which the plant is scheduled to begin processing stockpiled material through the circuit. The company is currently engaged in ‘advanced and developing’ offtake discussions with several counterparties regarding future production. Chief Executive Officer Kris Anderson says: ‘The project remains on schedule and in line with our previously communicated milestones, and it is particularly encouraging that Daemaneng will be running material through the plant later this week. This marks a significant and tangible step forward in moving from preparation into early production.’
