Paschal Donohoe to step down as Ireland’s finance minister

ALN

Ireland’s Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe is to leave his role in government and take up a position with the World Bank.

It is understood Donohoe will stand down from his position as a Fine Gael TD later this week.

He is to take up the second most senior position in the World Bank, as managing director and chief knowledge officer.

Donohoe, 51, has been a TD for Dublin Central since 2011.
