Frasers Group PLC - Shirebrook, England-based owner of multiple retailers - Buys Braehead shopping centre in Glasgow, Scotland. In an announcement after the London market close on Thursday, the company notes that Braehead has an annual footfall of over 15 million visitors and totals over one million square feet, serving the UK’s largest retail spend catchment outside of London. Frasers doesn’t provide the purchase price or any other financial details. Chief Executive Michael Murray says: ‘This acquisition is an important step in delivering our property ambitions and accelerating the elevation strategy.
