Unilever PLC is considering the sale of several iconic British food brands, including Marmite yeast spread, Colman’s mustard and Bovril beef extract, Reuters reported late Thursday, citing ‘three people with knowledge of the matter’. The London-based consumer goods maker is in the midst of a restructuring, including the demerger of Magnum Ice Cream Co NV into a separately listed company, scheduled for early next month. It has sold other food businesses as well in order to focus on beauty and wellbeing Reuters said two of the people said Unilever will keep the Pot Noodle brand. One person told Reuters the British food brands being considered for sale have annual revenue of £200 million. The news agency said Unilever declined to comment.
