Unilever PLC on Monday announced the sale of its Graze business to Katjes International. Unilever, a London-based consumer goods maker, will sell the ‘healthier snacking brand’ which it bought in 2019 to the Emmerich, Germany-based confectionery manufacturer for an undisclosed figure. Last week Wednesday, Sky News had reported that Katjes had been in talks to buy Graze for about £35 million, a bit over 20% of the price of £150 million Unilever had paid in 2019. Unilever said its ambition in its Foods unit is to deliver consistent ‘top-tier’ performance and rigorously focuses on three global categories, being condiments, cookings aids & mini meals, and Unilever Food Solutions. Completion of the transaction is expected in the first half of 2026. Unilever is in the midst of a restructuring, including the demerger of Magnum Ice Cream Co NV into a separately listed company. It has sold other food businesses as well in order to focus on beauty and wellbeing. Unilever shares rose 1.2% to 4,600.00 pence each on Monday morning in London. Copyright 2025 Alliance News Ltd.
