Temple Bar names Charles Cade chair as Richard Wyatt retires

ALN

Temple Bar Investment Trust PLC on Tuesday announced a change in board leadership, with Director & Chair Richard Wyatt retiring and being succeeded by Charles Cade.

Wyatt, who joined the board in November 2017 and became chair in May 2023, stepped down with immediate effect. The trust credited him, alongside former chair Arthur Copple, with playing a key role in the appointment of Redwheel as portfolio manager in October 2020, a period during which the company delivered significant outperformance.

Since Redwheel’s appointment to November 28, the trust’s net asset value per share total return has risen 193%, while the share price total return has climbed 225%, far outpacing the FTSE All-Share Index’s 98% return over the same period.

Cade, who joined the board in March 2022 and became senior independent director in May 2024, has now taken over as chair.

Following Cade’s appointment, Shefaly Yogendra has been named senior independent director, while Wendy Colquhoun has taken over as chair of the management engagement committee.

Temple Bar shares were 0.6% higher at 371.85 pence in London on Tuesday afternoon.
