DIRECTOR DEALINGS: boohoo co-founders buy 5 million shares

The following is a round-up of share dealings by London-listed company directors and managers announced this week and not separately reported by Alliance News:

boohoo Group PLC - Manchester-based online retailer trading as Debenhams - Mahmud Kamani, co-founder & executive vice chair, buys 3.0 million shares, and Carol Kane, co-founder & executive director, buys 2.0 million. Kamani’s purchases are at average £0.19, worth £581,301, while Kane’s are at £0.17, worth £346,37. The purchases are on Thursday and Friday last week and on Monday this week. Kamani now has 177.5 million shares, a 12.7% stake, and Kane has 29.8 million, a 2.1% holding. boohoo last week Thursday announced a new management incentive scheme as it said its turnaround is ‘well underway’, with its half-year pretax loss narrowing significantly.

Zegona Communications PLC - London-based investor in European telecommunications and media - Non-Executive Director Rita Estevez buys 6,200 shares at £13.87, worth £86,022. Non-Executive Director Sofia Bergendorff buys 5,841 shares at £13.85, worth £80,898. Non-Executive Director Suzi Williams buys 7,858 shares at £13.93, worth £109,990. All purchases are on Thursday last week. On that day, Zegona said it plans to return €1.6 billion to shareholders and lower debt, after sealing deal proceeds of €1.8 billion for Vodafone Spain.

Motorpoint Group PLC - Derby, England-based car retailer online and in-store vehicle retailer - Chief Executive Officer Mark Carpenter sells 100,000 shares at 139.00 pence, worth £139,000, on Friday. Carpenter retains 8.4 million shares, a 10.1% stake.

TMT Investments PLC - venture capital investor in high-growth technology firms - German Kaplun, head of strategy, Artemii Inituin, head of Investments, and Alexander Morgulchik, head of business development, sell 50,000 shares via Mango Telecommunication Ltd, part of Macmillan Trading Co Ltd, at $2.62, worth $131,000, on Tuesday. Kaplan remains interested in 21.9% of TMT Investments, Inituin in 13.3%, and Morgulchik in 11.5%.

M&C Saatchi PLC - London-based advertising agency - Chief Executive Officer Zaid Al-Qassab buys 79,990 shares at £1.25, worth £99,988, on Monday. Al-Qassab now has 177,128 shares, a 0.1% stake.
