Avation PLC on Tuesday said it has delivered a new ATR 72-600 aircraft to South Korean airline SUM Air, marking the airline’s first ATR aircraft and Avation’s first customer in South Korea. The Singapore-based commercial aircraft leasing company said the aircraft was delivered on Monday with a 12-year lease. The turboprop aircraft is one of ten ATR 72-600 planes ordered by Avation in 2024 under purchase rights exercised with the manufacturer. ATR aircraft are made by a joint venture between Airbus SE and Leonardo Spa. Executive Chair Jeff Chatfield highlighted that the aircraft was acquired unencumbered and successfully placed with a new airline customer on a long-term lease. Avation shares were 0.7% lower at 138.00 pence in London on Tuesday morning. Copyright 2025 Alliance News Ltd. All Rights Reserved.
