OptiBiotix Health hails record start to 2026 after securing new orders

ALN

OptiBiotix Health PLC on Wednesday said it has received four large orders from Taiwan’s Meelung Trading Co Ltd helping deliver a record start to financial 2026.

The York, England-based life sciences firm said the orders from Meelung are for twenty four tonnes of its weight management product, SlimBiome.

The orders will be delivered at around three-month intervals throughout 2026 and will be recorded in the financial year ending December 2026.

In response, shares in OptiBiotix Health shot up 25% to 8.00 pence each in London on Wednesday.

OptiBiotix signed an agreement with Meelung last June and has seen ‘rapid sales growth with regular recurring orders of increasing size’.

OptiBiotix Health said the orders reflect a ‘growing confidence’ in SlimBiome and a ‘growing trend’ with an increasing number of partners placing orders for 2026 to secure supply.

‘This enables OptiBiotix to plan ahead and consolidate multiple orders, allowing it to negotiate preferential pricing with suppliers and reduce cost,’ the company said.

This approach has delivered a ‘record start’ to financial 2026, the firm said, with over £800,000 in orders secured from four partners.

‘These are confirmed orders with a no cancellation clause,’ OptiBiotix Health said, and include the ‘low six figure’ order received in November.

‘To have already secured orders totalling over £800,000 before the end of our first month of the year puts us in a strong position for the year ahead,’ said Chief Executive Stephen O’Hara.

‘With the start that we’ve had so far for 2026, the company is in the strongest position it has been,’ he added.
