Private equity firm Livingbridge, which owns Loveholidays, is preparing with a syndicate of banks for an initial public offering for the brand in Spring, Sky News reported on Tuesday. Citing ‘City sources’, Sky said Investec is working with JPMorgan Chase & Co and Barclays PLC on the intended £1 billion London listing for Loveholidays, which is ‘one of Britain’s biggest online travel agents’. Livingbridge is also working with Rothschild to help coordinate the IPO plans. An ‘insider’ told Sky that the parties are preparing for a March launch date, but that this could be delayed subject to market conditions. Loveholidays, which reported pretax profit of £67.6 million and sales of £284 million in the financial year ended October 2024, operates in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany and Austria. ‘A successful stock market debut for a prominent brand such as Loveholidays would deliver a boost to the London stock market, which has struggled to win major listings in recent years,’ Sky noted.
