IN BRIEF: Alliance Witan keeps 59-year record with 6% dividend hike

Alliance Witan PLC - Dundee, Scotland-registered investment trust founded in 1888 and managed by Willis Tower Watson - Declares fourth interim dividend of 7.08 pence per share, up 5.2% on 6.73p a year before. This brings the FTSE 100 constituent’s total payout for 2025 to 28.32p, up 6.1% on 2024. Alliance Witan notes that this is its 59th consecutive annual dividend increase, which it says is one of the longest such track records in the investment trust industry. ‘With substantial reserves, the board is confident that it can go on increasing dividends well into the future,’ Alliance Witan says.

Net asset value at the London close on Tuesday is 1,307.9p per share. This is on a bid price basis with debt at par and excluding income.

Current stock price: 1,264.00 pence, up 0.2% on Wednesday in London for £4.82 billion market capitalisation
