AEP Plantations PLC on Monday announced that its production of palm oil and palm kernel climbed in 2025, alongside prices. The operator of sustainable palm-oil plantations in Indonesia and Malaysia said own fresh fruit bunches production in 2025 rose 6.0% to 1.1 million metric tonnes from 1.0 million mt in 2024. External fresh fruit bunches purchased jumped 18% to 1.2 million mt from 988,900 mt. The average crude palm oil ex-mill price per metric tonne rose 7.4% to $853 in 2025 from $794 in 2024. Palm kernel output climbed 13% to 105,900 mt from 93,400 mt, with the average palm kernel price surging 44% to $731 per mt in 2025 from $507 in 2024. The firm said production increased due to improved output from young and matured palms in the Bengkulu and Kalimantan regions in Indonesia. Executive Director for Corporate Affairs Marcus Chan Jau Chwen said: ‘We are delighted with the operational progress we have made during the course of the year. As well as managed replanting, our objective, over time, is to sustainably lift yields through improved agronomic practices and tighter estate management, including the use of enhanced monitoring systems. Our business has been supported by a strong pricing environment, giving us good cash flow, which provides a solid financial base to support future growth and deliver long-term shareholder value.’ AEP will release 2025 results by the end of April. AEP shares rose 1.4% to 1,490.00 pence each on late Monday morning in London. Copyright 2026 Alliance News Ltd. All Rights Reserved.
