Helix Exploration PLC on Monday said it began production at its Rudyar project site in Montana, becoming the first helium producer in the state. The London-based helium exploration and development company said helium gas is being processed from three production wells initially, and will integrate the Inez well into production capacity once testing will be completed. The company now welcomes offtake distributors, and says it will scale towards full production within months. Helium Chief Executive Officer Bo Sears said: ‘The commencement of production marks a transitionary event for the Company as we move from an explorer to a revenue-producing business. We believe that the current market presents significant potential for the Company to continue to grow. The first step will be entering into offtake agreements with discussions now due to commence onsite.’ Shares in Helix Exploration were down 6.3% at 26.7 pence on Monday afternoon in London.
