EnSilica PLC - Oxford, England-based computer chip maker - Announces that the UK government is providing further investment in satellite communications. It says the UK Space Agency outlines an additional £30 million of funding under its ‘Connectivity in Low Earth Orbit’ programme, or C-LEO, which aims to directly help UK companies developing advanced technologies. Ensilica says it will be seeking to secure funding from this second round of investment from the C-LEO programme, which previously awarded the company £10.4 million in non-dilutive funding to develop semiconductor for ‘next-generation’ mass-market satellite broadband user terminals. Chief Executive Officer Ian Lankshear says: ‘We welcome this further commitment from the UK Space Agency, which reinforces the UK’s ambition to play a leading role in the next generation of satellite connectivity, of which EnSilica continues to leverage its expertise to grow market share.’ Current stock price: 51.40 pence each, up 2.8% on Wednesday afternoon in London 12-month change: up 27% Copyright 2026 Alliance News Ltd.
