Xeros jumps as retailer MediaMarkt orders XF3 units for Europe

ALN

Xeros Technology Group PLC shares rose on Thursday after the company said its manufacturing partner has secured a purchase order from Europe’s largest consumer electronics retailer ahead of the commercial launch of its XF3 microfibre filtration unit.

Shares in the Rotherham, England-based laundry technology firm were up 11% at 1.50 pence in London.

Xeros said its manufacturing partner, Donlim, has received a purchase order from MediaMarkt for an initial production run of XF3 units.

MediaMarkt, which operates more than 1,000 stores across continental Europe and generates annual turnover of around €23 billion, will launch the XF3 under its in-house Koenic brand, featuring Xeros as a sub-brand.

The units are expected to be sold in major European cities and to become available in stores in late calendar second quarter 2026.

Chief Executive Neil Austin said the partnership represents a ‘significant endorsement’ of Xeros’ technology.

‘MediaMarkt are unparalleled in their size and reach across Europe. Their decision to partner with Xeros to provide a solution to microfibre pollution is a significant endorsement for the pre-eminence of our technology,’ he said.

The XF3 is an external microfibre filter designed to capture microplastics shed during washing. Xeros said the product recently underwent independent verification at the Hohenstein Institute, achieving a certified 98% microfibre capture rate, which it described as market leading and exceeding its existing performance claims.

Alongside the European launch, Xeros said Product Care Group, distributor of the Russell Hobbs-branded version of the XF3, is on track to introduce the unit to UK electronic consumer retailers in late Q2.

A third partner, described as a major global appliance manufacturer and one of the world’s largest producers of washing machines, is also in the final stages of preparations and remains on track to launch the XF3 in 2026.
