M&C Saatchi PLC Chief Executive Officer Zaid Al-Qassab will step down in the coming weeks, Sky News reported on Saturday. Sky News said the departure of the CEO from the London-based advertising and communications agency will be announced next week. It was reported that Al-Qassab’s departure will be accompanied by the appointment of a number of non-executive directors. These will include Nicholas Shott, a former Lazard investment banker. Al-Qassab took up the role at M&C Saatchi in May 2024. Following reports of Al-Qassab’s departure back in December, the firm said: ‘While the company is not commenting on any press speculation at this time, the board confirms that succession planning is something it keeps under review.’ A spokesperson for M&C Saatchi declined to comment to Sky News on Saturday. Shares in M&C Saatchi closed up 0.9% at 119.00 pence in London on Friday. The stock has fallen 31% over the last 12 months, giving a market capitalisation of £145.5 million.
