IN BRIEF: Resolute Mining approves final investment decision on Doropo

ALN

Resolute Mining Ltd - Perth, Australia-based and Africa-focused gold miner - Formally approves the final investment decision for its Doropo Gold Project in the Ivory Coast, ‘marking a transformational step towards construction and production.’ Says the positive FID underpins its goal of reaching annual gold production above 500,000 ounces by the end of 2028, and that it expects Doropo to become a cornerstone asset within its development pipeline. Says the FID follows the receipt of a mining permit, and the completion of ‘extensive’ evaluations, which confirm Doropo’s robust economics, technical viability, and alignment with Resolute’s long-term growth strategy. Resolute expects Doropo’s construction to start in the first half of this year, forecasting an initial mine life of around 13 years with potential opportunities for expansion. Notes its $209 million net cash position, and says it will continue to evaluate all funding options as work on Doropo advances.

Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer Chris Eger comments: ‘This final investment decision represents an important growth milestone for Resolute that advances our strategy to become a diversified gold producer, on track to achieve annual production of over 500 koz by the end of 2028.

‘This decision reflects the quality of the Doropo Gold project, the robustness of our technical work, and our confidence in the operating environment.’
