The London Metal Exchange said Monday it had halted trading in copper, aluminium and zinc as well as tin due to an ‘issue’, without giving further details. Prices in these metals, which had not shown any unusual fluctuations, stopped being shown on Bloomberg terminals from 1440 GMT. ‘We are aware of an issue and working to resolve it as soon as possible,’ said a spokesman for the LME, one of the world’s main metal exchanges. source: AFP Copyright 2026 Alliance News Ltd.
