Camellia PLC on Wednesday said it has sold artwork for £3.7 million, realising a profit of £3.6 million, to support its value enhancement plan. The holding company for agriculture businesses said this plan aims to increase investment into higher-return operating assets to generate long-term growth. Kent, England-based Camellia also noted the announcement of Indian subsidiary Goodricke Group Ltd on Wednesday. Camellia owns 74% of Goodricke, which terminated a memorandum of understanding announced in February regarding the proposed sale of its Barnesbeg Tea Estate.
