TRADING UPDATES: Medpal AI launches ‘first of its kind’ new platform

ALN

The following is a round-up of updates by London-listed companies, issued on Wednesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

GreenRoc Strategic Materials PLC - London-based mineral developer focused on Greenland - Signs a drilling contract for the planned phase 3 drilling programme at Amitsoq and appoints SLR Consulting Ltd to undertake geotechnical and hydrogeological surveys. The drill contract is with Mineral Exploration Drilling Ltd, which has significant Greenland drilling experience, and is designed to extend the indicated and measured resource categories and provide important data for a planned pre-feasibility study. Drilling is planned for up to 12 holes. Chief Executive Stefan Bernstein says: ‘The forthcoming programme marks a significant step forward in advancing Amitsoq to development, as it is not only designed to expand and upgrade our existing mineral resources but also to gather critical geotechnical and hydrogeological data for our upcoming pre-feasibility study.’

----------

United Oil & Gas PLC - mining company with an exploration asset in Jamaica - Provides an update on the analysis of piston core samples from its recently completed Seabed Geochemical Exploration survey over the Walton-Morant Licence offshore Jamaica. The analysis identifies C4 and C5 hydrocarbons, including butanes and pentanes, in select piston cores within the headspace gas dataset. United notes that these higher-order hydrocarbons are not typically associated with biogenic gas systems and are therefore consistent with a potential thermogenic contribution. Chief Executive Brian Larkin says: ‘These results enhance our understanding of the licence and provide an important input as we advance towards a drilling decision. We look forward to integrating the results into our subsurface work and continuing to progress discussions with interested parties.’

----------

Medpal AI PLC - London-based digital health and AI company - Launches the MedPal Health Operating System, a ‘first of its kind’ digital health platform combining wearable data, AI triage, clinician-led prescribing, and robotic dispensing. Medpal says it is confident in the strategic significance of MedPal Health OS as a platform for long-term growth. It plans to expand via business-to-business licensing to healthcare providers, businesses, and insurers, with potential use in insurance-linked wellness programmes. Chief Executive John Drummond says: ‘The traditional pharmacy model is being disrupted, and MedPal is leading that disruption. We look forward to updating the market on continued progress.’

----------

Bezant Resources PLC - London-based copper and gold exploration company - New mineral resource estimate for the Hope and Gorob copper-gold project in Namibia shows a sevenfold increase from the original 2023 estimate to 3.0 million tonnes from 410,000 tonnes. In addition, the Hope open pit’s immediate life of mine increases from one year to 7.5 years at a production rate of 400,000 tonnes per annum. The report is compiled by independent resource consultants Sound Mining in accordance with the JORC code (2012). This ‘has a profound impact on the near-term development of the mine with additional mining costs benefits accruing from a significant reduction in the strip ratio from 11:1 to 9:1,’ Bezant explains. Executive Chair Colin Bird calls it a ‘very positive’ outcome. ‘Reduction in stripping rates, amounts to significant cost saving and the increase in open cut mine life is very satisfying whilst the open cut mining tonnes will be even further extended,’ Bird adds.

----------

Frontier IP Group PLC - London-based firm focused on commercialising intellectual property - Says portfolio company Fieldwork Robotics is now entering the scale-up of its autonomous harvesting robot technology, after raising £3 million through a £2.2 million equity funding round led by Elbow Beach with support from other existing investors, plus £1.7 million in project grants. Funding has been awarded from Innovate UK, and £775,000 of this is grant or non-dilutive funding to Fieldwork. The investment will now allow Fieldwork to enter full commercial trials, including a two-year harvesting-as-a-service programme in Norfolk with food company Place UK. If the trials are successful, Fieldwork expects robot fleets to be operating on farms during 2027.

----------

Ondine Biomedical Inc - British Columbia, Canada-based life sciences company - Announces that the pilot study evaluating nasal photodisinfection in an intensive care unit setting has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Critical Care, a leading peer-reviewed journal in intensive care medicine. The study represents an early clinical evaluation of nasal photodisinfection in the ICU, extending its application beyond surgical settings. The findings contribute to a ‘growing body of evidence supporting this non-antibiotic approach to reducing microbial burden in high-risk patient populations,’ Ondine states.

----------

Genflow Biosciences PLC - London-based biotechnology firm - Highlights continued positive safety and efficacy signals from its ongoing sarcopenia and longevity in aged beagles clinical trial evaluating its proprietary SIRT6 centenarian gene therapy. Follow-up observations conducted three months after the initial dosing period confirm that previously reported improvements have been maintained. No adverse events have been observed, and the therapy continues to demonstrate a favourable safety and tolerability profile in aged dogs. Chief Executive Eric Leire says the ‘consistency of improvements across multiple functional endpoints, together with the continued absence of safety concerns, strengthens our confidence that SIRT6 gene therapy is delivering a sustained biological impact.’ Leire believes the data supports the positioning of the SIRT6 platform as a ‘potentially disease-modifying approach to addressing age-related decline in companion animals.’
