IN BRIEF: Halo Minerals names contractor for Playa Verde pre-FID work

ALN

Halo Minerals PLC - London-based mineral development company - Appoints contractor BIOS Mining & Infrastructure to conduct its mineral processing plant flow sheet design review and optimisation studies, and to assist in the application process and in securing ancillary permits needed to advance Halo’s Playa Verde project towards a point where a final investment decision can be made. BIOSMI, formerly named Propipe, has worked with Playa Verde for over a decade and has detailed knowledge of Halo’s development plans, the firm says. Notes that BIOSMI previously supported it with the mineral processing plant flow sheet and design studies during the previously completed definitive feasibility studies. Also, Halo confirms that the annual mining license fees for Playa Verde’s six mining concessions have been paid in accordance with their terms.

‘We are pleased to continue to work with BIOSMI, who have previously supported the project and bring detailed knowledge of its development,’ Chief Executive Officer Andrew Dennan comments. ‘Their work to review and optimise the mineral processing plant flowsheet and support the company on ancillary permit applications is an important step in progressing the project towards a potential FID.’
