ME Group International PLC on Thursday said it has launched a new partnership with UK grocer Asda Stores Ltd for its Wash.ME laundry machines. The Epsom, England-based service equipment provider said it will install and operate the laundry machines at Asda’s Supercentre, Superstore, supermarket and petrol forecourt sites across the UK. ME said it is targeting up to 700 laundry machines across these sites, which it said are ‘attractive, high-footfall locations’. The company said the new partnership supports its growth strategy, as it aims to install 1,300 laundry machines in financial 2026, with a long-term target of installing more than 20,000 globally. ME currently operates over 7,600 Wash.ME laundry machines across 12 countries, with over 1,500 located in the UK and Republic of Ireland. ‘Asda is a perfect company to partner with, their retail and petrol stations are excellent locations for our services and their innovative and fast-paced approach will enable us to deploy our units rapidly,’ said ME Deputy Chief Executive Officer Vladimir Crasneanscki. ‘We are delighted to announce this partnership; this is the largest single client deal in the history of our laundry division and demonstrates the growing demand for our services.’ Shares in ME Group International were up 3.7% at 147.00 pence on Thursday morning in London.
